Kaiguri Factory

Kaiguri factory is situated in Thegenge location, Unjiru sub-location, Nyeri district east of aberdare mountains. It started its operations in the year 1986 as factory number 16 of the 18 factories in former Tetu coffee growers’ co-operative society ltd which had eighteen factories. In 1999, the society split into eighteen single factory society’s Kaiguri factory being one of them. In the year 2004, the government encouraged the single societies to merge and form a large and economically viable society. This effort resulted to the formation of two societies namely Aguthi and Mutheka farmer’s co-operative society ltd. The factory has four diferent zones of Kaiguri catchment area, namely Kaiguri, Gondo, Githiaka and Gura.
